This is to confirm the results of our telephone conversation earlier this morning. Notre Dame Publishers agrees to accept your mystery novel, Marfa Lights, for publication, and will provide Rs.200 000 advance upon receipt of the final manuscript.

Enclosed are some guidelines to help you prepare the final manuscript, as well as a copy of the contract which outlines terms and royalties. Please review the contract with your attorney, and I will call you next week to discuss it.
